
Safe Pass Training Course
1-day duration

Safepass is a mandatory one-day health and safety awareness programme.
​
The programme aims to raise the standard of safety awareness in the construction industry and to ensure that, over time, all site personnel undergo basic health and safety awareness training to enable them to work on-site without being a risk to themselves or others who might be affected by their acts or omissions.
​
Candidates who complete the programme will receive a Safepass Registration Card.
​
Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013, all construction workers in Ireland - including apprentices and trainees - are legally bound to hold a valid Safepass Registration Card.

Important Information :
​
All candidates require a PPS number or a SOLAS issued process number to attend the SOLAS Safe Pass Training. If you do not hold an Irish PPS number, please do not proceed with an online booking.

Methodology
​
A practical and highly interactive approach is used throughout the course.
When theoretical material is introduced, it relates to relevant tasks encountered by employees while working on a construction site.
​
The focus will be on actual situations with realistic solutions.
​
Course Validation / Certificate
​
Participants who have completed the Safe Pass Training Programme will be registered with SOLAS and issued with a Safe Pass registration card.
It is a condition of renewal of the SOLAS Safe Pass registration card that participants must update their safety awareness training every four years.
