Manual Handling Training
Learn how to lift safely in the workplace
(3 Hours Duration)
Are you aware that 33% of accidents in the workplace are caused by manual handling related incidents?
All employers must ensure that all their staff attend Manual Handling Training or hold a current certificate in Manual Handling before they begin working. All Manual handling certificates must be updated every 3 years.
First Aid Responder - QQI Level 5
QQI Level 5 First Aid Responder
(Duration 3 Days)
This 3 Day First Aid Responder Course delivers the HSA-recognised standard of First Aid to those who are interested in becoming a First Aider.
It delivers the knowledge, practical skills & understanding required to provide appropriate first-aid treatment in the workplace in accordance with the requirements of the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007; Part 7, Chapter 2: First Aid Training.
First Aid Refresher Course
Required every 2 years for anyone who has completed the 3-day First Aid Responders Course
If it is coming up to 2 years since you have completed the First Aid Responders Course you will be required to complete this 1 day First Aid Refresher Course. Please contact info@secusafe.ie for more details.
Guarding Skills- QQI Level 4
QQI Level 4 4 N1118- (4 Days Duration)
This QQI Level 4 Guarding Skills Training Course 4N1118 qualification provides participants with the minimum training requirements determined to apply for the Private Security Authority (PSA) Guarding Skills License.
Under new QQI requirements, this course requires 100 hours of learning; 30 hours must be contact time which can only be achieved by attending 4 X 7.5 hours training days. To make up the remaining 70 hours you will be required to conduct a home study element of the course during attendance covering the more theoretical aspects of the program.
Door & Event Security
The Door & Event Security Training Course qualification provides participants with the minimum training requirements, determined to apply for the Private Security Authority (PSA) Door Security License.
Under new QQI requirements this course requires 100 hrs learning; 30 hours must be contact time which can only be achieved through regular attendance. To make up the remaining 70 hours you will be required to conduct a home study element of the course prior to attending, covering the more theoretical aspects of the program.
This course requires that you attend a 2 day Physical Intervention training which is a mandatory element of the training.
The course carries an exam element that will be at the end of the training.
Combined Static & Retail and Door & Event Security Course
This QQI Level 4 Guarding Skills Training Course with the Door and Event course qualification provides participants with the training requirements determined to apply for the Private Security Authority (PSA) Combined Static and Door license with the Private Security Authority.
Candidates who complete both courses and attain both licenses can work in all security sectors in Ireland, including as security guards in shops, factories, data centres, office blocks, major indoor and outdoor concerts and sporting events, pubs, and clubs! Most of our students pick this option as the best value option, and it widens the prospect of our students seeking employment across the industry.
This course will cover the key elements of the Guarding Skills and the Door and Event Security Course.
Learners will learn the basic elements such as Patroling, Health and Safety, Communications, and the law. in both the Static and Door and Events sectors.
Security Supervisory Management Course
Security Institute of Ireland Certification.
(6 Days Duration)
The purpose of this course is to enable the learner to acquire and develop the knowledge and skills required by those engaged in or wishing to progress to the management level within a security department or company.
