About this Course:

 

This QQI Level 4 Door & Event Security Procedures Training Course qualification provides participants with the minimum training requirements, determined to apply for the Private Security Authority (PSA) Door Security License.

 

Under new QQI requirements, this course requires 100 hours of learning; 30 hours must be contact time which can only be achieved by attending 4 online training days. To make up the remaining 70 hours you will be required to conduct a home study element of the course before attending, covering the more theoretical aspects of the program.

The course covers a 2 day physical intervention training sessions including an exam session towards the end of the course.

This course is accredited by the Security Institute of Ireland and is approved by the Private Security Authority.

  • Fire Safety Training

  • Practical Security Procedures and Techniques

  • Dealing with violence & conflict resolution

  • Physical Intervention Training (2 Days Training and Exam Session)

 

This course is highly practical, and training includes the use of:

 

  • Fire Extinguishers on-site at The Training Centre using a real fire training simulation.

  • Two-way radios.

  • Searching techniques and various types of role-playing.

  • Physical Intervention Training (2 Days Interactive and Exam Session)

 

Course Delivery:

 

This course is delivered in person and online. 

 

All participants must be available at the time of training.

Required Information

 

All participants are required to bring a form of Identification to the induction day (Passport, Drivers Licence or Public Services Card) and 2 Passport photos. You will also be required to provide your PPS Number.

 

Induction Day

 

Please note that the Induction is in person and you will need to bring the required information above.

 

Before registration takes place, all prospective learners will need to take a short English Assessment as this is required by the Private Security Authority (PSA).

 

A short Human Trafficking Course as per the PSA requirements will need to be completed before Assessment Day at the end d of the course and this will be explained to you as part of the Induction.

 

Assessment:

 

  • 50 Multiple Choice Questions & 3 Practical Assessments.

  • 2 Days Physical Intervention Training and Techniques is included as part of the assessment

No previous experience is necessary. 

Payment:

Please note that the fee for this course is €385.00.

 

In order to reserve your place on this course you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit of €175.00 to reserve your place on the course. The remaining balance of €210.00 must be paid in full on the induction day.
